Also according to Infonetics' 2013 "Microwave Strategies and Vendor Leadership" survey, Aviat ranks first among all microwave specialists in 10 of 11 categories that service providers use to select a microwave vendor.
These rankings are based on a significant sample of 25 telecom operators representing 37 percent of 2012 worldwide capital expenditure (capex) and revenue. Each respondent operator is a significant user of microwave products. "Compared to other specialist microwave-only vendors, Aviat fared best," says Richard Webb, directing analyst of Infonetics. According to the survey, Aviat rates No.1 among specialists in all the following categories: technology innovation, security, product reliability, price-to-performance ratio, total cost of ownership (TCO), roadmap, solution breadth, service and support, management software and financial stability. Notably, product reliability, price-to-performance ratio and TCO were found to be top criteria for choosing a microwave vendor.
