(NASDAQ: AVNW), the leading expert in microwave networking solutions, today announced that Ola Gustafsson recently joined the company in Santa Clara as senior vice president, product and services portfolio management. In this role, Mr. Gustafsson is responsible for maximizing the value of Aviat Networks' product and service portfolio.
Mr. Gustafsson brings extensive senior leadership experience in microwave and wireless technologies to Aviat Networks. He most recently served as Ericsson's head of product line microwave and mobile backhaul. In that role, Mr. Gustafsson developed and managed the roadmap and lifecycle for the entire Ericsson microwave portfolio, which includes the MINI-LINK™ microwave system and small cell products, as well as IP-based mobile backhaul routing and switching products.

Prior to his role as head of product line microwave and mobile backhaul, Mr. Gustafsson managed the integration of Marconi microwave into Ericsson, where he delivered rapid alignment of several overlapping products and oversaw the restructuring of Marconi's supply chain and operations.
